School Coaching Programme
GRFC will begin their school coaching programme with Stoke Park Infants. 2 of our coaches will visit the school between 3.30 and 4.30 on Wednesday evenings to run football sessions. Our coaches are fully qualified and have years of experience from coaching complete beginners to premiership academy levels.
The courses are structured around a 10 week course after which each child will receive a 5 point certificate of achievement. Not only does this provide a personal goal for each child but over time gives a good indication of progression levels.
Its not just about football! - our coaching techniques are aimed to provide all the players, regardless of ability or potential with a fun, organised, disciplined and social experience. We hope this will help to teach all our players lessons and skills that will be useful throughout their lives.
The main aim is fun for all participants in a safe and professional environment but who knows, you could soon be joining some of our regular GRFC students in our advanced classes or even training with likes of Chelsea, Portsmouth or Southampton as several of our existing students already do!

Coaches
GRFC are now a well established and popular football coaching company for children aged 2-15yrs old, we also have involvement with several local football clubs offering coaching and management services to some great teams.
Over the coming months we are looking at In School coaching prgrammes as well as expanding to other venues, we have several part time positions available to the right candidates and hope to be offering full time positions in the near future.
All applicants should be FA qualified, and have current CRB, Child Protection and first aid qualifications
The succesful candidates will be truly passionate and entusiastic about coaching children of all abilities, you'll get the chance to work with absolute beginners through to some of our top players who also train with Chelsea, Portsmouth and Southampton!

Tots coaching secures Indoor Venue for the Autumn/winter months
From Early september the Saturday Morning Tots sessions will take place at The Hub Sports Centre in Fairoak, this is just 5 minutes from the existing outdoor venue where coaching for 5 - 15 yr olds will continue all year round.
The Hub has an excellent sports hall and bar facilities so everyone can stay warm and dry and Mums and Dads can grab a cup of tea and maybe 5 minutes peace!
We still have availability but operate strictly small class sizes per coach so numbers are limited for this popular and growing class.

Chelsea U7 tournament - July 2007
GRFC were recently asked to take a team of under 7yr olds to a tournament at the Chelsea satellite training centre in aldershot. The regional scout had selected the team from his previous visits to our coaching sessions.
The boys had a fantastic day out and won 4 out of 6 games against teams from across the south coast.
The chelsea coaches were so impressed 2 boys are now training with them and the coaches are monitoring several more players from Grass Roots.
We now coach players who attend extra training with Chelsea, Portsmouth and Southampton football clubs.
Great value courses run throughout the year 10am – 3pm each day, a great days coaching and match play with a fun filled lunch break! We pride ourselves on not only providing the best coaching service around but also on helping all the kids to have fun and meet new people. X – Factor challenge
This is all aimed at making sure the kids have a fun and productive break time under the coaches’ supervision. Its a great chance for the Kids to get to know each other better and make friends for years too come – there’s no pressure on anyone to take part, they can just sit back and watch (and laugh) if they want.
